Concern for Women and Children was established in 2007 as an initiative of the First Lady of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Mary Ayen Mayardit with the main aim of empowering women and youth, children and other vulnerable groups, advocating for girl child education, advocacy against Gender Based Violence (GBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Harmful Traditional Practices (HTP) and addressing key health challenges i.e. HIV/AIDS and maternal health.

Concern for Women and Children is registered as a nongovernmental organization under the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Registration Number. 2249.

WELCOME ADDRESS

As the founder of the Concern for Women and Children Organization, it is with my great pleasure, profound gratitude and heartfelt love for people of South Sudan, more especially women and children, that I welcome you to this Organization.

The dedication of our work is to empower women and youth, and support children, because I know they are the key to a strong and vibrant future for our country. Your support in this mission is invaluable, as it enables us to build a more just and inclusive society where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

The road to recovery is long, but with your partnership and collaboration, we are taking confident steps forward.
