REMARKS FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Every morning, before I come to work, I am reminded of why our mission is so vital. I think of women and children. Recent graduates of our mentorship programmes, who used to believe their dreams were limited by their circumstances, today, they are the majority who are confident and aspiring professionals. Testaments to what happens when beneficiaries are given the right support and opportunities to thrive are spotable.

I have spent the last fifteen years seeing firsthand, how the smallest investment in woman and children can create a ripple effect that transforms entire communities. It is in the quiet confidence of women who now have the tools to start their own business or get employed, and, the proud smile of children receiving proper education.

To our dedicated staff, who work tirelessly on the frontlines, thank you. Your courage, compassion, and commitment are the heart of this Organization. To our partners, donors, and volunteers, your unwavering support is what makes our work possible. You believe in our mission, and because of you, we are able to change lives every single day.

The challenges facing women and children today are more complex than ever. From persistent inequalities in education to the devastating impacts of violence and poverty, the progress we have made is constantly under threat.

At Concern for Women and Children, the Organization of the first Lady of the republic of South Sudan, we do not just see the problems; we see the potentials. We know that investing in women and children is not just a moral obligation—it is the single most powerful and transformative investment we can make for our collective future.

We call on you today to join us, stand with us, and invest in our vision. Let us not just create a world where women and children survive, but one where they truly thrive.
